Our mission is to provide intervention, life-skills education and mentoring for adolescents at risk of facing serious challenges in their healthy transition to adulthood.

Our History
For 20 years, Red Wing Youth Outreach has played a unique role in the Red Wing community as an agency that not only works with students in school, but after-hours as well.
In 1992, the Red Wing Community Advisory Team, a coalition of local agency representatives and business, school and city leaders assembled to address chemical abuse problems among the youth in our community.
The coalition determined that the chemical abuse problems persisted because the conditions contributing to them persisted. The group determined that a local youth-worker program was needed to counter-balance disengaged parents, broken homes and negative adult influences. In 1993, Red Wing Youth Outreach was born.
Our first outreach worker was made possible thanks to a grant by the Red Wing School District, the City of Red Wing and the Minnesota Department of Education. In 1997, we added a second outreach worker and established offices in the schools. We incorporated as a nonprofit in 2003 and since than have expanded to include a third outreach worker, year-round programming and a development coordinator. Currently, we serve 75 youth in a number of capacities.

Stacy Hartmann
Red Wing Youth Outreach Program Director and Youth Life Coach
Stacy's extensive education and experience have ably prepared her for guiding our wonderful kids. She holds degrees in psychology and criminology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and earned Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner status from the Institute for Professional Coaching. In 2012, after spending nine years as a juvenile probation officer for Goodhue County Court Services, Stacy joined Red Wing Youth Outreach where she founded our Teen Leadership Coaching program.
Joette Hall
Red Wing Youth Outreach Youth Life Coach
Joette has been helping to better kids' lives for more than 20 years. Before she came to Youth Outreach in 2001, she had served for more than a decade as a caseworker at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Red Wing. She's earned Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner status from the Institute for Professional Coaching, volunteered at every opportunity and graduated from the Chemical Dependency Program at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
